Oriol leads the UK Short Analytics team in London where he supervises and helps develop the catastrophe management, actuarial and research teams providing risk assessment to (re)insurance clients and their markets. This enables appropriate risk transfer across UK&I, Global Re Specialty and Global Reinsurance Clients.
Between 2015 and 2020, Oriol led the Japan Analytics team in Tokyo while other previous roles at Aon involved Catastrophe Management, Model Evaluation, and model development at Impact Forecasting.
Before Aon, Oriol worked at the International Seismological Centre as a seismologist and developer and specialized in seismic hazard, data processing and software development.
Oriol holds two MSc, one in Physics and the other in Seismology both from the University of Barcelona and has more than nine years experience in the field of geophysics which included three years working as a field seismologist.
